The 80.3v 76ah Battery fits the Ultra Bee with a custom lid and gives you the opportunity to run much more power than stock with an EBMX X9000 controller or maximise range with the larger capacity battery in combination with the OEM controller. This bundle is the very best way to upgrade the power on your Ultra Bee. These batteries come with a two year manufacturer warranty. Shipping costs will not be covered under the warranty. Improper use of the battery and/or physical damage does not fall under warranty.
This is the battery we have on our personal Ultra Bee. We raced this bike against off-road/MX gas bikes and it can hole shot the gate drop against 450’s. We have our X-9000 controller tuned to a conservative 20kw and 800pa in power mode 1. Anything more and you’ll need a XUB-80 EBMX motor to avoid overheating.

These high-powered batteries and controller kits are intended for off road riding using on/off throttle, not continuous throttle applications. Modifying e-motos with these controllers and tunes make them illegal to ride on the road. After installing an aftermarket controller and getting a high-powered tune, you are running the risk of damaging your motor. Even with our motor temperature protection enabled, it is still possible to damage your motor if you push the motor outside of its limits. To ensure you do not cause damage to your motor, follow the advice below:
- Do not use wide open throttle for longer than 10-15 seconds. Do not do repeated full throttle runs.
- Do not consistently ride the bike in high power modes, only use the power mode you need at the time.
- Do not ride for long distances where you are on 3/4 or full throttle consistently for long periods of time. If you need to use your bike for long rides using consistent throttle then you will need to significantly reduce the power level of the tune to ensure you can ride for stained periods without damage. Just for comparison, the stock bike in Sport mode running at full throttle is running at 5-6kW, after you put on a BAC8000 and high-powered battery you will be pushing up to 15kW (3 times the power of the stock bike) and it cannot be expected for this not to take a toll on the motor. Usage Warning
These high-powered batteries and controller kits are intended for off road riding using on/off throttle, not continuous throttle applications. Modifying e-motos with these controllers and tunes make them illegal to ride on the road. After installing an aftermarket controller and getting a high-powered tune, you are running the risk of damaging your motor. Even with our motor temperature protection enabled, it is still possible to damage your motor if you push the motor outside of its limits. To ensure you do not cause damage to your motor, follow the advice below:
- Do not use wide open throttle for longer than 10-15 seconds. Do not do repeated full throttle runs.
- Do not consistently ride the bike in high power modes, only use the power mode you need at the time.
- Do not ride for long distances where you are on 3/4 or full throttle consistently for long periods of time. If you need to use your bike for long rides using consistent throttle then you will need to significantly reduce the power level of the tune to ensure you can ride for stained periods without damage. Just for comparison, the stock bike in Sport mode running at full throttle is running at 5-6kW, after you put on a BAC8000 and high-powered battery you will be pushing up to 15kW (3 times the power of the stock bike) and it cannot be expected for this not to take a toll on the motor. Please be mindful and smart when modifying and riding e-motos.

The EBMX motor range has been specifically designed to surpass the performance of other motors in their classes.
In contrast to many of our competitors who utilize hall sensors, we have opted to incorporate encoder sensors in our motors. This decision stems from the fact that encoder sensors demonstrate greater stability under demanding riding conditions. While hall sensors rely on estimated rotor positions, encoder sensors consistently provide precise angle measurements of the rotor’s position. Hall sensors are typically employed for tracking motor position during start-up and up to approximately 2000 rpm, after which the motor operates in a “sensorless” manner. However, during intense riding situations such as wheel spinning and sudden deceleration combined with rapid throttle adjustments, hall sensors angle detection can result in substantial current spikes in the controller. This can pose significant issues for many controllers, leading to tripping and loss of throttle power, although this is less prevalent in the X-9000.
Encoder sensors, on the other hand, are capable of tracking motor position at all speeds and do so more frequently than hall sensors. As a result, they offer a more responsive motor experience and enhance performance reliability and durability. Furthermore, they contribute to improved low-end torque control and overall motor response.
A EBMX Motor Bash Guard is included with each purchase of your EBMX XLB-60 Motor. This cleverly designed simple guard will protect both the OEM Surron Light bee Motor and the EBMX upgraded XLB-60 Motor. Bolts on far easier than the SXS type and offers a custom befit protection for the XLB-60 not found on other guards.
